Al,

System Profiler detected the enclose but not what was inside it. So
nothing would work. It did not matter if it was the Pioneer DVR-110D,
the DVD-ROM from the B & W or an old hard drive I had laying around.

Today I switched the internal ribbon cable that shipped with the
enclosure with a good ATA-133 hard drive cable. Now System Profiler sees
whatever device I put in and lists the particulars like manufacture,
model, revision, ect. CDS's or HD's will now mount.

I called Computer Geeks and they are sending me another ribbon cable.
Initially I though the FireWire enclosure was not compatible. It turns
out a defective cable was the problem. --glen
