And that is what is needed to bring Windows and OS X head to head. Otherise, OS X will forever be relegated to a niche system. There can not be any disadvantages bringing INTEL to the Mac. For once, there will be a company that has proven to meet demand. IBM couldn't even meet the demand of Apple at less than 5% of market share. IBM has held back Apple too long. This changes everything. It will give Apple more leverage and who knows what MS will do regarding MS Office, once it's contract is up; even though Appleworks was always easier to use. It already is pulling out of key software for the Mac, regardless of negative opinions. I always thought Explorer for the Mac worked well and looked great compared to Netscape.* **Excuse the tangent but the only thing that always bothered me about Explorer for the Mac was that it didn't do bookmarking as well as Explorer for the PC. I still like the way Explorer does bookmarking better.
