I get your problem there as I face the same. I have some people too who
like the project and translate for me (currently into 6 languages) even
when they are running Windows and never see my application run :-)

And every release is a struggle with the translations. I started of with
the .po files as well, but that is a real hell for those doing the
translations. There has to be a better way of doing this.

I have been thinking about some form of a web based .po editor where you
can select the application and language you want to translate.
The .po file gets read onto the page with original language strings to
be translated and fields to fill in translation. Upon saving they fill
the empty strings in the .po file. This way no matter what OS, everybody
is able to translate. And people can even correct wrongly translated
strings if they want.

All I would need to do is make sure the .po files are there and kept up
to date and import them before every new release.

But I have no idea where to begin and how to set this up. But it would
be great to have some central public space where all Gambas developers
could place their applications up for translation in this manner.

Suggestion are welcome...
