Hello Danny, The snp135OrthoPt3Pa2Rm2 table that is part of the "All SNPs (135)" track on the hg19 (GRCh37) assembly maps human SNPs to chimp reference assembly coordinates (as well as to orangutan and macaque). The table contains whatever allele the chimp reference assembly has at the corresponding position in human (not necessarily an annotated chimp SNP). To read about it, go to the track controls page for All SNPs (135) and scroll down to the section "Orthologous Alleles (human assemblies only)". (One way to get to the track controls page is to click on the blue track name on the main Genome Browser display page, http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTracks).
You can download the entire table here: http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg19/database/snp135OrthoPt3Pa2Rm2.txt.gz Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further questions. --- Luvina Guruvadoo UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group On 4/19/2012 12:48 PM, Schust, Danny J. wrote: > I am trying to get snp information for regions of chimp, orangutan and any > other available primates that are homologous to a segment of human chr 21 >> Does your site has these capabilities?
