Okay, ferret it out.

Does this accomplish what you want:


"sync;sync;sync;halt"   ?


"man sync"

You may need to pass arguements to halt. A standard
man page may not be exactly correct in what you have,
so you may have to peruse the codes.

Think for a second. It's embedded, so why can the
board (OS) be shutdown or halted as you like?
