Sorry, I have been away. I don't use the /cygdrive prefix at all. Largely because I started with Cygwin b20.1 in which it wasn't a feature. I simply mount C:\ as / (i.e root). I think the lstat problem is because you are trying to lstat a drive /cyggdrive/ that doesn't exist. As I say, it works for me.
