i would go for windows 7
Jim, i do not see why someone would want to upgrade when each and everything i have ever done on xp i can do on windows 7. Not everyone can shell out money, like popping out babies to upgrade computers, and windowsoperating systems.
Are you offering to purchase everyone windows 8.1 computers? GOL.LOL

Hi,

I would urge you to upgrade from windows xp as soon as possible. Windows 10 is not expected tell April some time. There for I would not wait tell windows 10. I would also not go to windows 7 either. This is an old operating system as well. Not only that but there are a number of things that you cannot already do with windows 7. With this being said I would go to windows 8.1. then I would install the beta of window-eyes 9.0. then I would go to www.ninite.com <http://www.ninite.com> and get the programs you want from there. One of those program I would get is classic shell. This will allow you to have the classic start menu on your windows 8.1 computer. This way you can have a user interface that you are used to and take advantage of all the latest capabilities of windows 8.1.

Hi, folks.

Getting along just fine with my XP laptop for my personal use. But, getting tempted with all of the holiday sales to get a Windows 7 machine.

Should I resist temptation and wait until Windows 10 is released?

Would be interested in hearing all pros and cons and considerations that I should be mindful of in making my decision.

Thanks.

Martha
