This got me thinking - should there be a better way to notify the user about this error? The extend tag doesn't work right in views, but the error is (as seen here) pretty obscure. And defining a tag there isn't really suggested either, as the tags still have global scope - I could easily see a page-defined tag turning into a heisenbug when it's used on another page. (as the tag will be defined *if* the defining page has been loaded, but will error if it hasn't)
