Well, I have owned both a MPC2000 and a RM1x. The 2000 is a great machine,
but it's not worth the money at all. It doesn't come with any effects and
the only editing you can do is cutting, pasting, and envelope modulation.
For how much money it costs, you can buy a nice Yamaha A3000 or 4000 which
has double the sampling time, better editing capabilities, and 50 to 90
effects/filters.
