Make sure your fonts are ok. A number of AppleWorks crashes I've
seen were actually because of broken fonts.
And finally, AppleWorks 6 seems to have a tendancy to "knot itself
up" by slowly corrupting files as you do a lot of edits. This
results in unexpected app crashes and freezes. My solution to this
is to periodically do a Save-As, quit AppleWorks, and relaunch
using the freshly created version of the file. This is especially
helpful with databases and spreadsheets.
Trashing the recently used folder made it crash faster, but it didn't
solve my problem trying to get it to open consistently without
crashing. How would I go about repairing my fonts to see if that
solves my problem?
Thanks,
Kevin
