Nope, I went to the binary menu and clicked on install and I answered
any questions with the default "Y"es. I had no problems.
It's possible that I've installed something else that had the missing
dependencies in it, but as I just got my new G4 and re-did my system,
it's unlikely. I think the only other thing I've installed was
gnumeric.
did you click on use unstable packages in preferences? That's about
the only change I made.
