I pretty sure it is just a point that the remote controller holder on
the side of the iMac sometimes fails and lets the remote slip out. A
small physical design problem, but I can imagine still very annoying.
My suggestion would be to hold it in place with some blutak. Nothing
much else I can imagine you can do.

When I first read it I thought it was about remote access and mounting
drives or something, but after re-reading it when it was posted again,
it all made sense.
