Hi,
this is exasperating..... please read the following sequence:

11:00 user sends/receives mail without a problem
11:30 user sends/receives mail without a problem
12:00 user sends/receives mail without a problem
12:30 user sends/receives mail without a problem
13:00 user sends/receives mail without a problem
13:30 user attempts to send mail and the screen pops up 'enter username and
password' which contains the username and the password in stars

no matter what the customer fills in in these boxes the program cannot
continue and send.
-Customer repeats this several times, but the screen continues to pop up
'invalid username or password'

13:40 user calls me 'fed up with the mail server not accepting my password'
13:45 mail server is rebooted
13:46 customer presses send/receive and mail is sent without a problem
14:00 user sends/receives mail without a problem
14:30 user sends/receives mail without a problem
15:00 user sends/receives mail without a problem
15:30 user sends/receives mail without a problem

Anthony
