Ok guys PLEASE read Trip's statement below and note last sentence 1st paragraph this list is NOT GOING AWAY:
There will be an official announcement, probably tomorrow. These new forums have many features which may serve some users better, but we recognize that while some people like this type of system others do not. We do encourage everyone to give the new forums a try, but we do not plan to eliminate this mailing list. We have asked about importing the archived list posts but I have been told that we can't. I personally have never dealt with this type of forum system, so I don't know if there are any other methods to import the archives. If anyone has experience with this please let me know.
