Hmmm...not trying to prolong this, but as several have pointed out, that's only half of the issue. Fragmenting the support by having some use the web interface and others use the email list, _with_no_interaction_between_them_, is a big part of the issue. Then the users of the web forum do not benefit from the many experts who volunteer their time here, and the users here do not benefit from the participation of those in the forum. I doubt any of us has the time to start checking both places now.
So, as mentioned before, this is only beneficial if there is a conduit between the two systems to keep both in sync. Also, as several have pointed out, there is an existing forum that can be searched effectively via google and has threads.
