Strange. The things that you mention should build out of the box on Solaris. Alternatively you could have got them from www.blastwave.org : pkg-get -i lynx or from the companion CD: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/companion/ or build Gentoo like from the Spec-Files-Extra: http://pkgbuild.sourceforge.net/spec-files-extra/ Anyway this is something on the Indiana roadmap as well.
