I don't see any benefits by disabling iiim-panel and IM activate/deactivate trigger key. It's better to enable it. I believe a lot of users (including me) want it enabled by default. It is not right to assume that English users won't switch keyboard layout.

As far as I'm aware, the majority of installed operating systems (i.e. Windows or Mac) don't have an input switch enabled by default. I can't see the justification for us doing any different.

More than just a few users have complained about the accidental input switching that used to happen all the time previously.

I suspect the number of users that actually use input functionality will be quite low.

As long as it is easy to enable for advanced users (i.e. not the common user), I don't see a problem with it.
