Hey Guys,
What's your opinion about this issue?
This is really unacceptable to me.
Thanks for forwarding this email and asking for opinions.
I don't see any benefits by disabling iiim-panel and IM
activate/deactivate trigger key. It's better to enable it. I believe a
lot of users (including me) want it enabled by default. It is not right
to assume that English users won't switch keyboard layout.

It was based on the feedbacks we received.
We assumed majority of English users won't switch keyboard layout
and don't need to know/see the current IM status. Without iiim-panel
and IM trigger key, users can input Latin characters by Compose key
sequences. And users can change the behavior easily via iiim-properties.
Thanks,
Fuyuki

Oh, I've just remembered a default change.
iiim-panel and IM activate/deactivate trigger key have been disabled
for English UTF-8 locales from 2008.11. This change applies to new users.
To enable them, use iiim-properties.

iiim-properties works.
I wonder why this behavior is changed? To be more friendly to the EN-input
users while not to the others?
Thanks,
