Thanks ever so much for your support! In addition to what you write, the
virtual cursor will turn itself "on" again *even when I have *not left*
Outlook Express for another program. I have been doing my homework. Others
also have the virtual cursor *turn itself back "on* when in the *same
program* as before. Thus insert z--at best--achieves little. the virtual
cursor will not stay "off". and going into the all those steps kind of
defeats the purpose. I want a "insert z" with staying power--with some
"glue" to hold down that virtual cursor and keep it where it belongs. I
think the maximum number of e-mail messages I can get through with v cursor
"off" is about 9. For example, in writing you, I checked the status of
the virtual cursor--and I had to turn it off again!
for those who are missing the importance of this, if I do not turn off
the virtual cursor: the JAWS can lose focus so badly and start reading in
a crazy way---as in reading duplicatesubject lines etc. this has been
duplicated even in Netscape so --it is not because of settings or because
of something dumb I might have done.
thank you friend, it comes down to consumer preference. anything that
makes JAWS easier and more reliable will be a selling point. and there are
many of us on 2 lists who have had to resort to turning off the virtual
cursor to make 331.35 *not lose focus* or experience "JAWS going crazy".
(I kept the messages). This is the best way to solve our problem; give us
the toggle switch.
thanks ever so much!
