O k mr. ford,
Once you turn "off" the virtual cursor in config Manager and you sail
through your e-mail messages or whatever--so far so good. But, my
friend, when you decide you want the features of the virtual
cursor--and--you turn it on for some short-term specific usage--you have
set up the situation when and where the problems can start "all over
again"!! At *that point* unfortunately--against my preference--I must
again "try to" turn "off" the virtual cursor or Outlook Express and JAWS
do not get along. One can have "the JAWS going crazy" thing happen so
easily. When I asked the question on the other list, I was shocked at how
many others there were with same problem. And then some one on the j f w
list duplicated the problem in Netscape; others in Outlook Express.
Sir, my wish would be to *never* have to turn off virtual cursor and to
have its advanatages--at my beckand call--when I "want" like all the time.
Now that there is a beta--it is the time to raise these issues--as in NOW!
>From what I hear, people having problems with "JAWS going crazy with v
cursor on inOutlook Express" have made our problems known to HJ.
But until there is a solution--we must *either go without* or try to get
"insert z" to keep the darn thing "off".
Remember--what I said above--once "off" in Config--you turn it back
"on"--so then "How do you again get it to stick or stay "off"?
Sure getting it on again is not hard; keeping it "off" so the computer
works and JAWS does not misread and "go crazy" is the acid test.
Perhaps some one knows of a good new Year's sale for *mallets* for
killing/bashing computers?
Anyhow, thanks for your perseverence, patience, good will and desire to
help. Happy Holidays.
