<<It's listed at CDNow for around $31.00.>>

Better still, it's listed at CDUniverse.com for just over $25!
(They're ALWAYS cheaper than CDNow & Amazon...)

<<No one was forced to buy the hatbox -
one could have bought the no frills version for $15.00.>>

If both versions had come out at the same time, I would have. But as you
recall, the Hatbox came out 6-8 weeks prior to the no-frills version, in
order to exploit those of us who HAVE to have new Joni upon its release.
That's what griped me so much. FWIW, mine also arrived in excellent
condition, so I have no beef about that.

Were Reprise to try and duplicate that scam with Travelogue, I would have
no qualms with getting a pal to burn me copies of the 2 cd's until the
no-frills edition came out.

By the same token, you make a good point about the 2 seperate cd's. I
bought both the seperate Waits releases for about $30 and was deliriously
happy with them.

But on the other hand, Paul Westerberg put out a DYNO-MITE 2-cd package for
the price of 1, so it can definitely be done. (And Paul's set is going to
be tough to beat!)

Bob, just a little cautious, not outraged...
