Will-not gay enough? NJC

Also saw a prgramme about the success of Will and Grace. It was mentioned that there had been complaints that Will was 'not gay enough'. What the hell is that supposed to mean? is he supposed to be more like Jack? Are we all supposed to be like Jack? It seems a very stupid comment to me and smacks of fascism. There as many different gay people as there are any other sort of person and in fact most gay people are not even visible to the naked eye!
Why do people insist on insisting that other people conform?(It was a gay person who complained about Will not being gay enough. How stupid is that?)
