not only that we have a meatball dish called 'faggots'. Birds Eye had a 
huge billboeard campaign with the slogan 'take home some faggots 
tonight'. We didn't know about the usa slang then but an american friend 
visiting thought it was hilarious and stopped to photgraph the billboard.
In case anyone is  wondering, the reason americans call us faggots is 
because in the old days gays were put to death by being laid on a metal 
grill and having bunches of wood laid and burned under them. these 
bunches of wood are called faggots. nice one, huh?
