I have several -3 dual cabinets. I have no issues at all using the Russian software. Never have. The secret to the Russian software is to read from the cabinet, then SAVE IT. I save it twice under a different name. One working copy is now in memory. Make the changes and upload to the cabinet. Everything should show up. I always remove all unused extensions. I make sure all names and such are up to date. To keep from having to mess with removing extension cables after power outage, you should have backup power on them. A hefty UPS will work a good long time. If you have -3's, you best update to -6 software. You get a few new features and the cabinets sync up faster. Brad

Is the dual cabinet a -3 or 0 or 1 (I can't look up the software numbers)? If it is -3 then you should be able to use the the windows tool on it. I find the dos tool unusable any more. It always locks up when I try to save information from the ksu. If the cabinets are older and you are trying to upgrade them, you are probably better off starting from scratch. Also, if it is a dual cabinet, you should consider upgrading to a -5 or -6, with those versions they fixed the issue where you needed to disconnect all extensions and co lines for 5 minutes while doing ANY reboot. I recently upgraded a -1 to a -4 and had to use the dos tool to just view the settings, I could do that, but I could not save anything, then I input the data manually into the newer unit.
