Bob, why do they need to be notified by phone if the email function is working. That function can be handled by their cell phones to notify them when they get a Email at the cell. Sounds like a lot of double use of things. If you are not seeing outbound seizures, you are not grabbing outside lines. You are dialing a 9 or accessing a trunk group correct? Anyway, on the TVA-200 you can certainly use a real time debug. It will show each and every step as it executes from one or all ports. I have not done a TDE-200, but I suspect it's not much different from a 1232. I can help more if you have remote access so I can see what is happening. Brad

Mr. Customer has >100 mailboxes set up for their employees. Recently, they were complaining that the message waiting notification call that is set to go to the user's cell phone was not always working. I was messing with it today, and sure enough, I saw it fail. I messed around with some parameters, got it working using some short times, but once I put some of the numbers back to reasonable values, it stopped working again. I did try enabling email notifications, and they work 100%. I was watching the lines, and when it fails, I don't see any outbound line seizures. Is there some sort of debug log that would help identify what is going on? I checked all the 4 ports, and they all appear to be fully functioning. The logs that show outbound calls per mailbox do not show the missing calls, yet the hourly report seems to have rather high counts, which would seem to indicate that it was retrying many stacked-up notifications.
