One thing my local group used to do to deter light fingered visitors was to cover the entire display table in transparent plastic (either cheap plastic tablecloths or drop cloths for painters) and then fold the hanging edge of plastic under and clamp it down. The result is not 100% secure, but removing a piece of lace involves some really obvious and visible behavior which can be easily spotted. Lorelei
