Yes in much the same way that a burgled householder forces a burglar into the hands of the police. If you listen to the burglar then the householder is clearly to blame for all of the burglars current woes. Lets get this clear. The club did NOT fail to pay its taxes. The club failed to hand over taxes paid by others which it was holding temporarily. Look at it another way. If I fail to pay my taxes then I am going to have an argument with the taxman. If you decide to pay YOUR taxes and you give me the cash to pay the taxman for you and ask me to drop it off for you down at the tax office, but instead I go on the piss with it, then it is a little different is it not ? Which is the worse offence and should the taxman react more strongly where I have stolen your tax money which I was supposed to pay over to them on your behalf ? _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
