Now if you are talking about poor managers then step up Eddie Gray. Great bloke, fantastic player but please don't tell me he was a great manager. He was manager for the only game I have left early, when Chester (then 92nd in league) beat us in the league cup at home. He also played Neil Aspen at centre-forward at one point which defies belief even now. He never did anything as a manager at any club so don't say he was better than the Wee man. Would you put Batty & Snodin (ian) in our worst 11. I don't think so, Billy recruited both and they both worshipped him. The players you mention may have had promise but at Leeds couldnt fight their way out of a paper bag. With the regime in charge I hardly think it fair to blame Billy because they were sold for peanuts. As I have said he got no support in his transfer dealings. Billy deserves more recognition for what he did as a manager at Leeds and he never bleated about the shoddy way he was treated.
