Err which team was Snodin playing for when we signed him? I think you will find he was playing for King Billy. Did you actually watch that Eddie Gray side? I never rated Irwin when he played for us and neither did Manure or they would have signed him before we let him go to Oldham. So Eddie Gray can spot talent but Billy couldnt? I don't think so.

He is clearly too nice a bloke to be a number one, but he is a good youth coach. The young players he brought on should have been the core of the side for years to come, but Bremner failed to get the best out of them. You can't make out that it was a good decision to release Irwin, when he went on to be a key member of the Man U side of the 1990s. I found it incredibly frustrating to see how well Irwin and other former Leeds youth players were doing at other clubs. Ian Snodin wasn't signed by Bremner. He came to Leeds in the summer of 1985, a couple of months before Eddie was sacked. Batty made his first team debut under Bremner, but he was already at the club as a youth player when Bremner arrived. Tim W.
