I may be misunderstanding you here, Glenda. I have understood attachments as being separate files not in the body of the e-mail, and, yes I have to click on them to open them, just like you. I have never had an attachment from anyone in the Legacy user group and that is why I did not understand anyone writing about '8MB attachments'.
If, however you reply to a mail by clicking on 'Reply', the whole of the e-mail you are replying to is printed at the bottom in the body of the e-mail. This I have never regarded as an attachment, but I think it may have been what the original 'post' of the thread was writing about. Hope I haven't confused the issue, here. All of the e-mails come with the text in the body of the e-mail and not as a separate file attached. I certainly can't even remember having an e-mail from LUG that is as big as 8MB at all. Perhaps I am missing something here? Best wishes to everybody, David S Beookes I am using the dreaded AOL and yes, I did change to plain text after learning how in the earlier (several months ago) discussion. Thanks for the education. However, I am a bit confused by the attachment issue. Even when I had dial-up, I don't remember the attachment "loading" until I clicked on it to download, so my email itself showed up normally with no additional "loading" time. Thanks for the warning, because I was unaware that others had that issue. Is it the diffierence between AOL and the rest of the world? Glenda Holmes *** Give the gift of Legacy for the holidays!
