Glenda, My ISP is Earthlink DSL. It works just like AOL, my previous ISP. The email opens when I indicate by a click of the mouse that I want it opened, the attachment is not opened until another click of my mouse indicates I want to see the contents of the attachment. I don't have to open any email or attachment I don't want to. I saw the attachment, knew what it was because of the earlier conversation and the kind offer to help, felt it was surely a mistake on several counts, and simply deleted the message with it's attachment of 8481 KB. Are people saying that their email client automatically opens attachments? -- Alice
