If I understand your thread correctly, you're misinterpreting what prompted this whole discussion. There was a message containing a 6+mb attachment which was a zip file containing someone's entire legacy database. It wasn't in the body of a message. It was a very large attachment. And it was sent to the LegacyUG mailing list address.

However, I am a bit confused by the attachment issue. Even when I had dial-up, I don't remember the attachment "loading" until I clicked on it to download, so my email itself showed up normally with no additional "loading" time.
