I dont know where they went, if there gone and they were there then all i
can say is you must have deleted then, but thats besides the point.
KDE wav files are stored in different places, slackware has them in
/opt/kde/share/sounds
i belive redhat has them in 
/usr/share/sounds
KDE program wav files are scattered around in different dirs.
