Rick, I hear ya. Been in the "poop" business for 30yrs --- long enough to
get real cynical about the whole water quality issue. They always go after
the individual(boater) before the fat cats. Just was making the point that
Type 1 was not the panacea so commonly voiced. Personally it seems like it
is just one more thing to break and spend boat bucks to fix. Makes sense for
some given the variety of boaters on the list, not so much for others.

I am sooooo sick of all the "nutrients" and "BOD" and "Suspended Solids"
bit. No, not a rant toward Bob or anybody else. Just at the general
situation.

The earth is full of the above. When you go for a swim you leave a trail of
dead skin and all the tiny creatures that feed on it, plus quite a bit of
mucus. Look at water from a pond, river, bay, ocean with a microscope and be
amazed at the amount of little creepy crawlies swimming about. Massive
amounts of plant matter die and decay and in the case of the Everglades wash
down the keys and reefs (A government study decided the reefs were starving
to death because all the development in the 'glades has prevented this stuff
from feeding the reefs).

I could rant on and on, but I'm not. Sometimes I think the people who seem
so vehemently opposed to Lectra/Sans want one, but can't afford it.
