An out-of-the box solution is Slax. http://www.slax.org/ the latest version comes with a pxe boot server built in. It's also very extensible with a variety of add on modules. Plus it's very fast as it's based on Slackware. It's not that hard to make your own modules if you have a Slackware system. You can actually setup the pxe server off a system booted from a Slax live cd. It works with 128MB systems but if you have 384MB you can load the *whole* OS into ram. Doing this increases the boot time but performance becomes amazing. You can even use a usb stick as a device for filesystem persistence between boots. I have been a Slax fan for years. My lab is dual boot K12LTSP / Slax. If you still want DSL I think DRBL has the ability to pxe boot DSL. -- Robert Arkiletian Eric Hamber Secondary, Vancouver, Canada ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
