there are a few editors who address this issue, ogni sorte for example; even one older editor (geisbert) has on occaision barred some pieces against the grain (eg, 4/4 for a gailarde) to oblige the player to stop with the foot stomping and actually feel the natural phrasing. Its a rare player with the conductors eye who can follow multiple parts without the aid of barlines, even if the piece is typically short and fits on stand in score. I much misdoubt anyone can follow multiple seperate parts sans barlines. -- Dana Emery To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
