Welcome, Mohamed! Is any of your LyX work in Arabic? I just ask because RTL languages are an area where LyX does not get a lot of testing. As Riki said, I would say start with whatever interests you. For me I think it was documentation just because it was a comfortable area to contribute in. Scott
