Has anybody ever bought something from OWC?
Is there some other cost with OWC I am missing?
Well, it's news to me that they offer USPS shipping up here. I've
ordered a number of things - RAM being the first. Bought some 128MB
168pin DIMMs for my 8500 years ago, which was at the time about 35.00
USD, when locally in Vancouver they wanted about 145.00! But they
have always forced me to ship it via FedEx, and the minimum rate for
that was 22.00 USD. Stupid. Then broker fees, GST, etc. What a
drag, but the price difference still made it worth while.
Somethings are a super great price [RAM], but drives - much cheaper locally.
