Kevin, The main problem is the difficulty connecting. I have to try 8-10 times with my eMac where my laptop PC connects the first time, everytime.

I would investigate moving to some sort of high speed connection. There are a number of wireless companies out there, however, cost might be prohibitive. I would hazard a guess that the speed you are connecting at with your eMac is the fastest it can do under the circumstances. It will never be worth investing in a USB modem to improve your speed by 2 kilo bits per second. I wish you luck getting into high speed.
