The G4 iBook came in October 2003. Since G3 iBooks weren't selling
particularly well there were plenty still in the channel, hence places
like PC World were still selling them off cheap in March 2004 (when I
picked mine up, 800MHz CD only). That's only a year ago.

Actually, it was my B&W I was thinking of putting Tiger on, but I don't
have a DVD drive or decent graphics card. Plus it's only a 350MHz
processor. I might save the money for a new machine.
