Yes I did and, yes, I knew it was end-of-line. It's just that I can't
really think of an 18 month old machine being so 'old' that you have to
go through the hassle of paying for a media swap (DVD -> CD). Mind you,
that's just me - my job involves keeping old legacy software running so
I'm probably a bit of an upgrade 'scrooge'.

Why can't the Apple Store allow you to specify media format when you
order Tiger?

No doubt :-) Looks like a few more months running OS 9.2.2 and then
relegated to server duty. Not bad for my first Mac...
