particular reform that entails public ownership is compatible with, but not the 
same as, working for socialist revolution.

Revolutions are a big step for working people to take. To cite the simple 
desire of Chinese workers to have a better life under the prevailing capitalism 
hardly proves they will never make a second revolution. As for Russians, polls 
generally show positive memory of the socialist days in comparison with their 
lot today.
