Yes, that conversation helped shape my thoughts on this topic, which has been discussed much less on the list than I recall. Searching on "Zinovievism" I found a post by Dayne Goodwin (https://groups.io/g/marxmail/message/21169) and another by Joseph Green (https://groups.io/g/marxmail/message/865) on this topic. The first post reminded me what I said a few years ago about Leninism being so differently understood that debating it won't be so fruitful. But it's clear that it was the Comintern shaped how the national parties across the world understood Leninism and Bolshevism.
