I believe that you will find that LocalTalk is not the same as AppleTalk. LocalTalk was the old serial based hardware that was used for the first Macintosh networks. AppleTalk runs over LocalTalk and Ethernet. (aka AppleTalk = protocol and LocalTalk = hardware).
