That may not be an issue... the OP said it was for occasional use only.

That's kind of splitting hairs. Unless things have changed recently,
MoL requires kernel patches to run, and those kernel patches are only
for Linux. But I thought that MoL was a separate development, rather
than a SheepShaver derivative (talk about silly names :-).
Anyway, back to the original topic. My advice would be to try Bochs
first, to see if it can get the job done. If not, then installing
MoL & finding a (legit) copy of VPC would be the logical next step.
Either way you go, the more RAM the better.
Of course, unless you get a great deal on VPC, you could probably
buy an old Pentium for the same money (or fish one out of a dumpster)
and run the Dozeware on that.
