There is now a SheepShaver port for Mac OS X. Lest this sound like a
purely academic pursuit, it does allow certain apps that don't like
Classic to run within an older version or custom version of MacOS in
their own "private hell" and, since it uses the CPU natively, at
nearly full speed (only the graphics pipeline suffers -- otherwise,
the speeds are competitive with Classic mode).
So I could potentially install System 7.1 and run good ol' Word 5???
