Thanks to all of you for your advice on this and the metering issue. 
As it happens I have a legal copy of VPC 3 with either Win95 or 98 on 
it, so I'll try that out with MOL.  As they say, old software for old 
machines.

Some perverse part of me really likes the idea of having a box with 
two icons on the desktop "Start Windows" and "Start MacOS" :-)
