wouldnt chaining the struts to the floor and lifting the car give you
positive camber and severly root your suspension???

The cheapest and best way i have found to do it is to take the tops off and
redrill holes for the three bolts that hold the strut in (in the top plate).
the further away the more camber. You can get a lot in a 1600 as the spring
is kinda large but if you change spring size you can get heaps. you
sometimes have to trim a little from the inside edge but when
you install them and put the plastic covers back on it looks stock..

Chris
I agree. I had the same on my rallycar, only they were machined for me and
in the process I got rid of the rubber bush from the strut top. I never had
a problem and whilst a lot of the older crowd told me I was mad I never had
any movement. Star washers saw to that.

Mind you, the clowns knocking the idea were the ones who bend the strut to
get negative camber. I once saw a bloke chain the struts to the workshop
floor and lift the car on the hoist to get negative!!!
