He had them chained in a spot which provided negative. I think he anchored
the wheels as well. I walked out when I saw it and wrote him off as a dodgy
brother so I didn't take much notice.
Redrilling or slotting the holes is fine as long as you aren't adhering to
CAMS regulations. I got my plates machined when I made my adjustable
platforms. Good to have a mate with a lathe.
Anyone who is wondering, you can buy the threaded tube and nuts to make your
struts adjustable at specialist suspension workshops or most engineering
shops will make them for you. Same as the collars and platforms for coil
over shocks.
