Bundy tube comes in sizes ranging from 1/8 inch (brake line) to at least 1/2
inch. Sorry about the old measures, been a long while since I've had a job
requiring Bundy tube. I think it's made in SA by a division of BHP. It is
available from W L Ryan's in Melbourne by the meter.
I have used it for fabricating brake lines and fuel lines. Its very
inexpensive and looks like OEM, as thats what OEM's use. It's best shaped
with a proper tube bending tool to get the professional look of radiused
bends. These can be bought from a tool shop for about $20. I have found
the best tool looks like a pair of pliers with a quadrant attached to one
side of the pinchers.
To make up a fuel/brake line you need to use an original line or bend a bit
of wire to the right shape as a template, then fabricate the new Bundy tube
to the same shape. Check it for fit before cutting to length.
